OoPs. now ive done it. While looking through Ebay the other night I fell in love with a F6C interstate. Ive never seen one before and had to have it. Consequently Im going to need the room in the garage and some money So, My Gl1100 has to go. Ive been restoring her in slow time now for about 18 months. Engine rebuild with Honda head gaskets, new seals and O rings, painted engine. Powder coated frame, swing arm and other bits. All clean and lovely. I bought this bike as a near basket case and have spent a lot getting it going. You may have read my posts. It starts and runs but there is a knock on tick over. Ive bought the stuff to clean out the carbs which should cure it. Ill stick some photos up over the weekend. The only thing to finish it is the paint job which needs doing. Im open to offers before it goes on ebay. The bike is in Somerset. It owes me 2K + but I don't expect to see that. Good seat, reasonable chrome stainless Motad exhaust. Very sorry to see it go but go it must.
Thanks

Is it the 15 or 1800 version you have fallen in love with ?

Some fresh pictures of the 1100 up here will be good mate, including the plastic parts that need paint too.

Just read the spec on that Valk and it is very impressive with all those extras. Good value in my opinion and a lovely bike to ride is the Valk. :)clap

Here's me enjoying the ride in North Carolina on one in 2008, grinning from ear to ear.

The only reason I would take up walking
is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.

Hi all, well today I put the fuel additive in the bike and its quietened the knock. I took the bike up and down the lane. It changes gear and pulls well, so now some photos

She looks very nice in the pictures there. What colour are the panels and what sort of condition are they in?

Please ignore the seat, there is a nice quilted one to go with it. There is a pair of panniers which I was going to put on with the rear crash bars and mounts. They need a good polish or paint. A bit of tweaking and a nice paint job this will be a lovely bike and I will be very sorry to see it go after all the work, time and money put in to it. . If no one wants it, it will go on ebay next week
Thanks for looking

What you have done so far looks very nice mate, if I had the spare cash I would be interested for sure. I would like a plain Jane with the panniers fitted along with a clear bolt on screen for a nice run about. I will have to make do with the 1200 though as the stable is full.
Someone will get a very nice project that is almost there. :)thumbs
