Thanks , Capital wings chairman ,Looking at your picture you have been around wings for a while, I was a member of capital years ago when stan ching and Fred Miller were around. Also remember Harry ward .Capital used to meet up at Dutch Cottage on a Thursday night if i remember right.( probably not!) We lived in St Albans and that was the nearest one.I see Yetti is still about ,hes going for the gold watch for long service.
Oh boy, someone else who remembers me from the "Good ol' days"
Although I prolly left Capital Wings before you joined, I certainly remember Harry, Stan & Fred.
Back then, we used to meet in the Albany pub, up from Gt Portland St and were, at the time, the biggest and most active branch of the GWOCGB.
I still have a few old pics of some of the lads and sadly, most have passed away. The others, I'm still looking for, with the help of Silver Fox and another buddy who's still with the GWOCGB.
Yep, the reason I became a "Born again biker" and bought a Goldwing was, to hopefully, meet up with all my old buddies and dwell on all our happy memories we shared together. These being, all the many Treffens, Wingdings and runs to other Area Clubs, that we took part in.
Hopefully Andy, we'll get to meet in the not too distant future and "catch up" on some of our memories, before alzhiemer's sets in.
Below are a few pics of our departed friends and may they rest in peace.
